Location: Kent
Salary: upto £28,000 per annum
Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, plus participation in the on-call rota)

What You'll Do

As a Youth Support Worker you'll be at the heart of our mission to support and guide young people to thrive. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting Independence: Helping young people build confidence and master everyday life skills, from managing routines to navigating independence.
  • Guiding Personal Development: Supporting positive decisions in education, employment, budgeting, and fostering meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborating for Care: Working alongside social services and other professionals to create tailored support plans, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Safeguarding and Inclusion: Creating a safe, inclusive environment that respects diversity and adheres to safeguarding policies.
  • Providing Hands-On Support: Travelling across the Kent area to deliver personalised, practical support to service users.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Is Qualified or Open to Training: Holds (or is willing to work towards) an NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Has Relevant Experience: Brings previous experience in a care or support role, particularly with young people.
  • Understands the Sector: Knowledge of The Children's Act and Children's Social Care systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Is Skilled and Organised: Possesses strong communication, relationship-building, and time-management abilities.
  • Is Mobile and Flexible: Holds a valid UK driver's license and has access to their own vehicle or motorbike for travel.
