Shift Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a mechanical bias Maintenance Technician who has strong knowledge of automated mechatronic equipment and experience gained within Food/ FMCG production

Shift pattern rotating across 2 week days & 2 week nights

The Role

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Resolve breakdowns and troubleshoot reasons, taking corrective actions
• Maintenance and repairs on PLC controlled equipment, high speed automated machinery
• Inspect equipment to ensure performance is maximised and downtime is minimal
• Utilise CMMS effectively, recording and keeping technical files updated
• Provided technical engineering support to improve reliability and machine performance
• Work in line with company policies including health & safety

What we are looking for

• Minimum 4 GCSE's including English and Maths grade C or above
• Level 3 apprenticeship Engineering/ Mechanical discipline
• Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in FMCG setting working with automated machinery
• Mechanical bias with strong mechatronic/ multi-skilled knowledge, electrical is desirable
• Can read and understand engineering drawings and manuals
• Good knowledge of control systems, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatic and hydraulics
• Experience in TIG welding, milling, turning and fabrication
