Warehouse Shift Manager
Location: Leigh, WN7 3XJ
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shift pattern starting initially on a 12:00 - 00:00 shift pattern.
Pay Rate: £28000 (with potential for £32,000 - £34,000)


Our client is a global provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services within the Transport industry, and they are looking for 2 experienced Warehouse Shift Managers to join their team on a newly acquired contract, which will manage the loading / unloading off vehicles coming in from the regional distribution centre and ensuring products are organised for outbound customer deliveries.

Important:

  • It is likely that for the initial 12 weeks, candidates will be employed on a temp to perm basis to ensure you have the skills required for this position as a result you will be paid hourly rather than salary.
  • The shift pattern is expected to change to 18:00 - 06:00 on a 4 on 4 off basis from March 2025 however there may also be the opportunity for 06:00 - 18:00 around this time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse operations
  • Monitoring and improving warehouse processes and procedures
  • Ensure efficient organization of stock for outbound deliveries.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure inventory is accurately maintained.
  • Managing a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain hygiene and security standards within the warehouse.
  • Use stock control systems for tracking and managing inventory.
  • Ensuring staff management processes are carried out fairly i.e disciplinary processed etc.


Requirements:

  • Prior warehouse and team management experience.
  • Ability to perform hands-on warehouse duties (e.g., loading/unloading).
  • Familiarity with stock control systems.
  • Strong focus on security and maintaining standards.
  • Willingness to work the specified shift patterns.
  • Have a team player attitude to meet operational goals i.e. join in when loading and unloading vehicles wherever needed.
